A Little About Me

My name is Hailey and I am a Semesters Squad Mentor for The World Race.

Great question! Semesters is a discipleship program that takes college age students on 1-6 month mission trips to one region of the world. They get to immerse themselves in new cultures and partner with locals to bring kingdom in the most beneficial way in that culture. My favorite thing about people who give 1-6 months of their life is that it’s just the beginning of their journey. It’s simply a step in learning to walk more with the Lord and learning to make that an everyday thing no matter where they find themselves.

Well to be honest working with college students kind of snuck up on me. Little by little I found myself immersed more and more in Gen Z and before I knew it I was hooked. This next generation is incredible and full of so much passion and life.

I have seen them fall deeply in love with the Lord and devote everything they have to follow him, love on widows and orphans and give everything they have to bring kingdom. They are worth every second of investment to see them step into who the Lord made them to be!

The Lord calls us ministers of reconciliation, and that is something that is embedded deeply in Gen Z. They are a generation who fights for justice and when they gain a kingdom mindset they are unstoppable!

In 2010, fresh out of college, I signed up to go on the World Race. I had no idea then just how transformative it would be and that a decade later I would still be working with Adventures in Missions.

When I went on the race my faith was frail and barely formed. It was the discipleship and service that caused me to surrender absolutely everything I had to doing what the Lord asked of me. The Lord used it to transform every part of my life, and I knew I wanted to walk people through that.

Since then I have squad led multiple world race squads, worked in admin, been a missionary in Japan as well as a world race host and a squad mentor. I never would have imagined my life would go this way, but I am so grateful it has.

What an honor it is to walk people through a similar but different journey with the Lord and see him transform their lives as well. There is nothing else I would rather give my life in service of.
